NEWS!.... FLASH: We have been very busy taking care of my wife for the past 21 months. In April she was placed in Hospice at home for her heart. She passed away on September 22th and was buried on Friday 28th. She was a very important part of our business and we will miss her very much. She originated our famous apple dumpling. We have cancelled our apple dumpling festival this years because my wife required 24/7 care during the past several months and also because we losted most of our apple crop because on a freeze in April during bloom. Along with the Apple dumplings, Famous and Sugar Free, we have added our Hand Made and Baked Crumb Top Pies and also our Apple Peeler which was shown on our FOOD FINDS episode.
NOW some good news. We have improved our packaging of the apple dumplings for shipping. We had some feedback from our customer about the handling of the pie dough on the dumplings. During the warm weather the pie dough was very sticky and sometimes it was difficult to remove the wax paper cups. So we conducted some additional tests and found that the polar pack actually contributed to the moisture problem. So we removed the polar packs and made some other adjustments. Also, during the warm weather we have added instructions to freeze the unwrap dumplings over nite. This will eliminate the problems with the handling of the pie dough. Originally we had planned to ship the dumplings unbaked and frozen, but the cost of shipping was too much. With the removal of the polar pack the shipping weight was reduced and we have made some adjustment in shipping costs.

We are on State Road 13 between State Road 38 and I-69 exit 14, or about 3 miles South of Lapel. At the present time we are open only Friday's 9 am to 5 pm.
